It's definitely a hot button. We know it, but don't want to admit it or face fully what it means. Perhaps the lesson is really to have intense appreciation for every moment that life gives.
Congratulations on your analysis and description of the concept of Maya. How many times we have found ourselves in a tale like you described!. Thank you very much.
For me, the realization is that Maya is the other side of perfection, necessary for any experience to exist.
While pure perfection sounds like an amazing place to always be in, it also means that nothing new ever happens, there’s no surprise anymore. Perfect stillness. And after a while, perfect “boredom”.
And then the “yearn” for something new to happen. The only way out is trough imperfection again. So that something new can exist and be experienced.
And that’s all there is, an eternal oscillation between perfection and imperfection, as none of them are an end in themselves.
Perfection and imperfection go together to create an infinite experience, for what already is, forever.
What a beautiful and well written post. I have not heard this one before.
The part where you talk about everything being temporary really touched a nerve with me.
